ISLANDWOOD KITCHEN EXPANSION |

With a limited budget, and a very short schedule for design, permitting, and construction, we helped Islandwood convert a loading dock into space for a new walk-in freezer, and storage loft. Selecting metal grate flooring for the storage loft, allowed daylight from new windows farther into the space, and minimize depth for structure. Maintaining an industrial aesthetic allowed for the use of exposed structural members, and an overall utilitarian approach to the space. Greg Ahrens with Pacific Restaurant Design developed a plan that utilized all the existing refrigeration equipment and a minimum of new equipment to make the project both efficient, and budget smart.
