PLACE EIGHTEEN REMODEL |
|
The client had recently purchased this 1970’s waterfront condominium on Eagle Harbor. In the original floor plan, the kitchen was enclosed by walls with no connection to the family spaces and no view of the water. The fireplace, located between the dining room and the living room, was dark, red brick and blocked most of the view to the water from the dining room. To open the rooms to the view, and brighten the interior, the kitchen was reorganized to remove the enclosing walls. The fireplace was stripped of it’s brick, reshaped, and reclad with limestone and Venetian plaster. Bamboo flooring, new lighting, and smooth finish drywall contributed to bringing the interior up to date.
